A visible vessel, diffuse redness, rosacea-prone skin and post-acne redness can all appear red — but they do not automatically need the same treatment.

Colour is the clue. Assessment gives it meaning.

THE EYE AREA DESERVES ITS OWN CONVERSATION

Prominent blue veins around the temples or eye area can be especially visible because the surrounding skin is thin.

Long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG may be considered for selected periorbital veins when the vessel, anatomy and treatment plan make it appropriate.

This is precision vascular work — not a casual “zap the vein” appointment.

Around the eyes, assessment and protection matter even more.

WHAT IS NORDLYS ND:YAG VASCULAR LASER? +

Nordlys includes a long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser applicator used for selected vascular concerns.

WHAT CAN VASCULAR LASER TREAT? +

Depending on vessel characteristics and candidacy, treatment may be considered for selected visible facial vessels, broken capillaries, telangiectasia, spider veins and periorbital veins.

IS THIS THE SAME AS NORDLYS IPL? +

No. Nordlys SWT / IPL and Nd:YAG vascular laser are different technologies. The appropriate option depends on what is actually creating the visible concern.

CAN YOU TREAT VEINS AROUND THE EYES? +

Selected periorbital or temporal veins may be candidates for Nd:YAG treatment. Careful assessment and appropriate eye protection are essential.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? +

Treatment number depends on vessel size, colour, depth, location and response. Some vessels may require more than one session.

CAN VESSELS APPEAR AGAIN? +

Treated vessels may improve, but new visible vessels can develop over time due to genetics, sun exposure, hormonal factors and other influences.

IS EVERY REDNESS CONCERN A VASCULAR LASER CONCERN? +

No. Diffuse redness, inflammation, rosacea-prone skin and defined visible vessels may require different strategies.
