NORDLYS ND:YAG VASCULAR
Targeted 1064 nm vascular laser treatment for selected visible veins, broken capillaries, telangiectasia and deeper vascular concerns.
NM · ND:YAG
REDNESS ISN'T ALWAYS JUST REDNESS
Diffuse flushing and one defined blue or red vessel are not necessarily the same problem.
Nordlys Nd:YAG gives us a targeted 1064 nm vascular option for selected vessels that require a more vessel-specific approach.
Instead of treating an entire field of skin, we can assess the vessel itself — its colour, diameter, depth and location.
See the vessel. Understand the vessel. Then decide whether to target it.
THE VASCULAR STORY
Vascular laser energy is selected to interact with blood inside the targeted vessel.
Controlled energy is delivered to the vessel while treatment parameters are selected according to the vessel and surrounding skin.
The vessel is the target. Everything around it deserves respect.
THE VASCULAR SEQUENCE
Response varies according to vessel colour, size, depth, location and individual biology.
THE VASCULAR EDIT
Vessel size, colour, depth and location all change the treatment conversation.
Selected prominent blue or visible veins around the eye and temple may be treated with Nd:YAG when appropriate.
BLUE VEINS · TEMPLES · EYE AREADefined facial vessels and selected visible capillaries may require a targeted vascular approach.
CAPILLARIES · FACIAL VESSELSSmall visible vessels can behave differently depending on colour, diameter and depth.
RED VESSELS · FINE VESSELSSelected visible body and leg vessels may be candidates for vascular laser after assessment.
LEGS · BODY · VISIBLE VEINSSAME COLOUR. DIFFERENT PLAN.
“Red” does not automatically tell us which technology belongs in the plan.
A targeted laser option when we are looking at selected defined vessels.
May make more sense when visible redness is broader or mixed with sun damage and superficial colour.
EXPLORE PHOTOREJUVENATION →THE ZINA RULE
A visible vessel, diffuse redness, rosacea-prone skin and post-acne redness can all appear red — but they do not automatically need the same treatment.
Colour is the clue. Assessment gives it meaning.
VESSEL-SPECIFIC, ALWAYS
Vascular laser treatment is not one setting repeated from vessel to vessel.
A fine red facial vessel does not behave like a larger blue vein.
We consider vessel diameter, colour, depth, anatomical location, skin tone and treatment history before selecting treatment parameters.
Same wavelength. Different vessel. Different strategy.
VESSEL ASSESSMENT
PERIORBITAL VEINS
Prominent blue veins around the temples or eye area can be especially visible because the surrounding skin is thin.
Long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG may be considered for selected periorbital veins when the vessel, anatomy and treatment plan make it appropriate.
This is precision vascular work — not a casual “zap the vein” appointment.
Around the eyes, assessment and protection matter even more.
AFTER VASCULAR LASER
Post-treatment response depends on the vessel and treatment area.
Temporary localized redness may occur after treatment.
Mild localized swelling can occur depending on the area.
A treated vessel may temporarily look different as it responds.
Some vessels may need additional treatment sessions.
AFTERCARE
If the area feels temporarily warm or sensitive, keep things simple.
Treated skin deserves protection while the vascular response settles.
GOOD TO KNOW
Nordlys includes a long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser applicator used for selected vascular concerns.
Depending on vessel characteristics and candidacy, treatment may be considered for selected visible facial vessels, broken capillaries, telangiectasia, spider veins and periorbital veins.
No. Nordlys SWT / IPL and Nd:YAG vascular laser are different technologies. The appropriate option depends on what is actually creating the visible concern.
Selected periorbital or temporal veins may be candidates for Nd:YAG treatment. Careful assessment and appropriate eye protection are essential.
Treatment number depends on vessel size, colour, depth, location and response. Some vessels may require more than one session.
Treated vessels may improve, but new visible vessels can develop over time due to genetics, sun exposure, hormonal factors and other influences.
No. Diffuse redness, inflammation, rosacea-prone skin and defined visible vessels may require different strategies.
READY TO CLEAR THE VESSEL?
Broken capillary? Blue periorbital vein? Spider vein? Diffuse redness?
We'll determine whether Nordlys Nd:YAG is the right route — or whether another vascular or light-based treatment makes more sense.
See the vessel first. Choose the laser second.
